Tifton Police Search for Murder Suspect

gun-police-lineTIFTON, GA – The Tifton Police Department is asking the public to help solve a murder that took place on Monday night.

According to the Tifton Police Department, 22 year old Jessie James Harris II was shot and killed in his Timmons Drive home around 11pm Monday night. When police arrived, Harris was found laying right inside the front door with a single gun shot wound to his upper body.

Authorities believe Harris opened the door and was shot there at the door.  Harris’ four-year-old son was at the home when the shooting happened, and he was not harmed during the incident.

TPD has been interviewing potential witnesses to the shooting. Police do not have a motive or any suspects for Harris’ murder
