Deadly Multi-Car Crash on I-75 Near Exit 22

Fatal-Crash-Graphic-I-75LOWNDES COUNTY, GA – According to reports, more than one person is dead and multiple others are injured after a deadly crash on I-75 near exit twenty two that happened late Sunday night.

The Georgia State Patrol says a deadly crash occurred around 11 pm just south of exit 22 on Sunday night. According to WALB, there were multiple deaths and injuries reported, but GSP has not released an exact amount. State patrol officers say the crash was caused due to heavy traffic from a previous accident that happened a mile south of the crash.

An investigation is still underway.

Two of the Southbound lanes are blocked while authorities are clearing the area. Drivers are asked to avoid the area.

    Three of the fatalities were of one family. Grandpa, grandma and 4 yr old granddaughter. They were returning to Ocala Florida from Tennessee

      I’m sorry but it was Mama and Daddy and daughter that were killed.. they had gone to see Gparents in TN.

    You got it all wrong. The family iscose friends. She was with her grandparents. Coming home to her mom and dads for her birthday.

    I was caught in the traffic if thia accident. I could tell itvwas severe as police and ambulnaces kept going to the scene and helicopter. Last night was a heck of a trip. My heart and prayers go out to the victims families. 🙁
