Blazer Softball to Host Blood Drive

VALDOSTA, GA – The nine-time Gulf South Conference Champion Valdosta State Blazer softball team will join the American Red Cross once again this year for their annual blood drive, to be held on August 26th in the ballroom at the VSU Student Union.

The blood drive will take place throughout the majority of the day on Tuesday, August 26. Volunteer donors will receive a free T-Shirt, and will have an opportunity to give blood from 12:30-5:30 p.m.. The squad has set a goal this year to collect at least 250 pints of blood to help those in need.

Appointments can be made in advance online at by using the keyword VSU. Blood is especially needed this time of the year, so don’t miss out on a great opportunity to knock one out of the park with Blazer softball, as the 2015 squad teams up with the American Red Cross in an effort to help the local community.
