New Commander for 23rd Mission Support Group at Moody Air Force Base

Air-Force-Moody MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, GA – The 23rd Mission Support Group at Moody Air Force Base has a new commander.

Col. Norman Dozier will assumed command of the 23d Mission Support Group during an assumption of command ceremony at the base on Wednesday. An assumption of command is a military tradition that represents a formal assumption of a unit’s authority and responsibility by a commander.

Col. Dozier is arriving from Washington, D.C., where he served as chief of the Budget Operations Integration Division in the Office of the Assistant Secretary of the Air Force for Financial Management and Comptroller.

The 23rd Mission Support Group is responsible for security on base to planning and coordinating base activities and events.
