Wild Adventures and Second Harvest Partner for Disaster Relief

| May 22, 2014

Second-Harvest-and-Wild-AdventuresVALDOSTA, GA – Wild Adventures staff teamed up with Second Harvest of South Georgia to assemble 1,400 disaster relief packs. Second Harvest, the leading domestic hunger-relief organization in the region, has packed these relief boxes annually for the last seven years in preparation for disaster situations. The packs will be split between five different Feeding America partner food banks. The packages contain Abbott nutrition products specifically chosen for their versatility and ease of use to combat hunger and dehydration in babies, small children, and seniors.

“This is a good opportunity for people to come together and give back to the community,” said Second Harvest’s CEO, Frank Richards. “We might not be directly affected by a storm or disaster, but we like to take care of our neighbors.”

This is the fourth year members of the Wild Adventures staff have been on hand to assemble the kits. They were ready to start packing Wednesday morning with 40 members on hand.
