Two Arrested in Valdosta for Manufacturing Meth

Stephen-Bennet-Anthony-Wade VALDOSTA, GA – On Wednesday night, investigators from the Sheriff’s Office served a search warrant at 2980 Mud Swamp Road and during a search of the residence located approximately one thousand {1,000} grams of Methamphetamine oil, which is a product of the Methamphetamine manufacturing process, additional ingredients and the components used to create a Methamphetamine lab and a small quantity of marijuana. Investigators also located approximately five hundred {500} grams of a liquid by-product that will be sent for laboratory testing and identification. Investigators safely dismantled the lab components and removed the items from the residence. During the search, the investigations also located a number of firearms and a motorcycle previously reported as stolen from the City of Valdosta.

Anthony Wright and Stephen Bennett were arrested and taken to the Lowndes County Jail where they were booked on manufacturing methamphetamine, possession of methamphetamine, and possession of items used for the manufacture of methamphetamine. Bennet was also charged with theft by receiving stolen property, and Wright was also charged with possession of marijuana. Additional arrest warrants will be sought for a person who has been connected to the Methamphetamine manufacturing operation. Wright and Bennett will appear in the Lowndes County Magistrate Court this afternoon for an arraignment hearing where a bond will be considered.
