I-75 Southbound Lane Closure Scheduled for Road Research

| May 20, 2014

road-sign-workCOOK COUNTY, GA – Weather permitting, a portion of the outside lane of I-75 is scheduled to be closed while a research consultant conducts tests and collects road data. The tests will be used to predict cracking in the road, which will help pavement designers build better roads.

The Georgia Department of Transportation will be conducting road research on I-75 south between milepost 38.8 (state Route 37) in Cook County and the Lowndes County line.

The exact test site will depend on visual examination and will not require closing the entire distance.
