Valdosta-Lowndes County Parks and Recreation Authority Presents ‘Fido at Freedom’

Dog-ParkVALDOSTA, GA – Freedom Park is going to the dogs. The Valdosta-Lowndes County Parks & Recreation Authority is hosting its first ever “Fido at Freedom” event on Saturday, May 3rd for all area dogs and their humans.

All the action will be at the Freedom Park Dog Park at 3795 Guest Road in Valdosta. Dogs can compete in a KONG Peanut Butter Lick-Off contest and a dog/owner look-a-like contest. Pups can also enjoy splash pools and taking photos with their humans at a special doggie photo booth. Plus, adoption agencies will be there with adoptable dogs and local vets will give out info on how to keep your four-legged family member healthy. Be sure to come early: the first 25 dogs through the gate will receive a free Frisbee.

Fido at Freedom is completely free, with no registration necessary. Leash up and let loose with us on Saturday, May 3rd from 10:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
