Moody Honors Fallen Airmen, Staff Sgt. Todd J. Lobraico Jr.

TJ-Featured MOODY AIR FORCE BASE, GA – Airmen gathered at Moody Air Force Base on Thursday afternoon to honor a fallen airmen.

Staff Sergeant Todd “TJ” Lobraico was a member of the 105th Security Forces Squadron out of Stewart Air National Guard Base, N.Y.

Though not based at Moody, the 105th SFS is considered a sister unit of the 820th Base Defense Group, and trains and deploys side-by-side with Moody Airmen regularly. While in Afghanistan, Lobraico was deployed with Airmen from the 823d BDS.

Lobraico died Sept. 5, 2013, from wounds sustained when enemy forces attacked his unit with small-arms fire near Bagram Airfield, Afghanistan. Friends and family shared memories of Lobraico as he was honored with a monument and a magnolia tree.
