Wisenbaker Qualifies for County Commission Seat

| March 5, 2014

WisenbakerVALDOSTA, GA – Lowndes County Commission candidate Tally M. “Mark” Wisenbaker, Jr. filed qualifying papers Monday morning with the Lowndes County Board of Elections and the Lowndes County Republican Party. Wisenbaker is seeking the Republican nomination for the Third District commission seat.

“I’ve enjoyed meeting with folks and hearing what’s on their minds,” Wisenbaker said, “And listening to their concerns and ideas is part of what being a commissioner is all about. I look forward to serving and addressing these issues if the voters honor me with that opportunity.”

This is Wisenbaker’s first run for public office. He and his wife of 43 years, Carol, have two grown children and 6 grandchildren.  They reside outside of Dasher in south Lowndes County.

The primary election is slated for May 20 with advanced voting beginning on April 28. The last day to register to be able to vote in the primary election is April 21.
