| March 4, 2014

valdosta-city-schools-logoVALDOSTA, GA – Valdosta City Schools recently announced they will host a series of public input meetings on the subject of redistricting the elementary school zones.  Redistricting is necessary as attendance zones have grown disproportionately to the capacity of each school in the system.

The members of the Valdosta Board of Education would like to invite parents to attend the final two sessions to view the proposed elementary attendance zone map.  There will be an opportunity for parents to offer additional feedback during these meetings.  These meetings will be held:

·         Thursday, March 13 at 7:00 pm in the S.L. Mason Elementary School Gymnasium

·         Tuesday, March 18 at 7:00 pm in the W.G. Nunn Elementary School Gymnasium

The Valdosta Board of Education will be offering transportation to the March 13th public input meeting.  Reservations must be made in advance by calling the Transportation Department between 9:00 am and 1:30 pm no later than Tuesday, March 11th. The number for the Transportation Department is (229) 245-5640.
