Thomasville Mayor Recognizes March as American Red Cross Month

Thomasville Mayor Red CrossTHOMASVILLE, GA – Thomasville Mayor Max Beverly presented Terri Jenkins, executive director of the South Georgia Chapter of the American Red Cross, and American Red Cross Board Member Joyce Thomaston with a proclamation recognizing March as American Red Cross Month.

“The Red Cross stands ready 24-7 to respond to disaster situations when called upon. Chartered by Congress to provide immediate direct financial assistance to those in Thomas County who are affected by disaster, the Red Cross relies upon the community to help us deliver our mission.  March is Red Cross Month and by signing the proclamation that declares it, Mayor Beverly shows that the wonderful community of Thomasville supports the efforts of the South Georgia Chapter,” said Jenkins.
