QUITMAN, GA – Brooks County Middle School ECHOES students enjoyed spending time with a few of the residents at the Presbyterian Home in Quitman.

Students were able to talk with the residents and learn all about their life experiences from childhood to adulthood. Some of the residents shared stories about their military life during WW II as well as what life was like during the depression and how life was different without the modern day conveniences we have today.

Mr. E.M. Mathis presented each student with a copy of the Constitution of the United States. One resident shared how he worked in Washington, DC and often ate with each President he served under, which was a total of three.
