| February 4, 2014

Clyattville-Elmenetary-School-Manners-Matter-1LOWNDES COUNTY, GA – The third grade class at Clyattville Elementary School participated in a 5 week Manners Really Matter class.

Students were taught the importance of using manners everyday and everywhere.

Topics taught included basic table setting, table manners, greeting others, using good manners’ words, respecting others and lunchroom/ restaurant manners.

To culminate these classes, the staff at Texas Roadhouse came to the school and made over the lunchroom into a fine restaurant and provided lunch for the students with the proper table setting. Third graders were able to apply the skills that they learned.

It’s great to hear about something good rather than always hearing bad news! My hat is tipped to the kids wanting to learn proper etiquette. I also want to express my gratitude towards the volunteers at Texas Roadhouse, it seems every time I hear of community involvement they are somehow linked to helping out. Kudos and thank you for expressing interest in the community and especially our youth.
