Black History Month 8th Annual Scholarship Essay Contest

Black-History-Month-Essay-ContestVALDOSTA, GA – Star 105.3 believes in education and we know that it all starts with our children!

With the help of the National Council of Negro Women and our local sponsors, Star 105.3 is honoring Black History month with the 8th Annual Scholarship Essay Contest.

The contest is open to all area high school seniors and will be judged by an independent, objective committee of judges and the scholarships will go directly to the school.

Applications are available to download below or for pick up at the offices of Black Crow Media. (1711 Ellis Drive Valdosta, GA 31601)


The winner of the Black History Month essay contest will win scholarship money to help with furthering their education.

We have had such an outpouring of local sponsors, we are now able to award two essay winner! Each winner will recieve a check for over $1,000 to help further their education.
