Tift County Teen Dies From Gunshot *UPDATE* Suspect Names Released

gun bullet shot UPDATE – A fifth person has been arrested in the shooting death of a teen in Omega.

19 year old Tyler Antwan Johnson of 1566 Georgia Avenue, Omega, GA, died after being transported to the hospital for a gunshot wound to the head.

Trevon Azell Rushton, 21, of Thomasville, GA, Kelly Denise Warren, 32, of Thomasville, GA, Edwin A. Williams, 24, of Thomasville, GA, Carrington Diore Hollis, 21, of Thomasville, GA, and Rondarian Tyron Jones, 23, of Omega, GA have been taken into custody for the shooting.

All suspects are charged with murder and conspiracy to commit armed robbery.


OMEGA, GA – A teen from Omega that was flown to a hospital after being shot in the head on Wednesday has died.

The GBI says that 19 year old Tyler Johnson was shot in the head. Johnson died after being air-lifted to a hospital for treatment. Officials said four people are in custody in connection with the shooting.

The Sylvester Post of the GBI is handling the investigation.
