Three Arrested in Thomas County For Marijuana Trafficking

Marijuana Bust Template THOMASVILLE, GA – Three people have been arrested after police found almost $50,000 worth of marijuana inside of their truck.

Thomas County Narcotic Agents received a call from officials in another county warning them to be on the lookout for a Chevrolet pick-up truck that could be transporting drugs. Georgia State Patrol Troopers spotted the vehicle shortly after the alert was put out on 319 North.

Inside the truck was Sergio Gomez, Jose Lira-Corra, and Rosa Guadarrama. State Troopers claimed they could smell the marijuana as they approached the vehicle. They searched the truck and found two bundles of marijuana weighing eleven pounds a piece underneath the back seat.

All three suspects were charged with trafficking marijuana. They are from Crescent City, Florida and are currently at the Thomas County Jail.
