BREAKING NEWS: Darien Meheux Found Guilty in VSU Student Death

court room judge verdict scales of justice VALDOSTA, GA – The jury in the trial of Darien Mehuex have returned a guilty verdict after deliberating for a few hours.

Meheux was accused of murdering his ex-girlfriend and VSU student Jasmine Benjamin in the Georgia Hall dormitory in November of 2012. Meheux turned himself in when he found out he had a warrant out for his arrest. According to testimony, while Meheux was in jail he confessed to the murder to other inmates who helped “prep” him for his trial.

    As I have stated many times, Dr. Maryanne Gaffney-Kraft was the medical examiner on this case and determined that the young woman died of strangulation. It is ridiculous for certain people in this community to believe she is a competent pathologist on this case while refusing to believe her findings in the Kendrick Johnson case.
