| October 24, 2013

church 1 MOULTRIE, GA – 56 year old, Roger Smith charged with one count of child molestation, turned himself in on Wednesday, October 23rd. Reports say Smith publicly confessed at New Beginnings Bible Church about the incident, and the church did not report the case to police. The Moultrie Police Department believe the incident occurred on August 5th, but did not get involved until October 14th after an investigator interviewed a witness at the Children’s Advocacy Center of Colquitt County. The case remains open, and police are investigating to determine if there are any other victims.
