“Battle on The Border” Competition Results

battle of the border - bands VALDOSTA, GA – On Saturday October, 19th, Lowndes High School hosted the “Battle on the Border” marching band competition at Martin Stadium. High school marching bands from Alabama, Florida, and Georgia all competed in the competition. ┬áBands are placed in two divisions based on their size classification,in particular the amount of wind players in the band, Silver Division and Crimson Division. Bands win in these divisions and also are rated overall in the competition.

The following bands competed in the competition:

Lanier High School Wayne County High School
Ware County High School Houston County High School
Baker County High School Valdosta High School
Brunswick High School

 

Here are the top three from the two divisions, and the top three overall.

Silver Division:

Crimson Division:

  1. North Paulding High School
  2. Houston County High School
  3. Valdosta High School

Overall Competition:

    The Final/Overall results are incorrect. You accidently listed the Crimson Results twice. It should be listed as: Grand Champion- North Paulding High School, 2nd- Houston Co. High School, and 3rd-Brunswick High School.
