Teen Gets Life In Brunswick Baby Killing

justice scalesBrunswick, GA- An 18-year old who was convicted of shooting and killing a baby in his stroller has been sentenced to life in prison without parole. A jury found De’Marquise Elkins guilty late last month.

Another teen, 15-year-old Dominique Lang, is also charged with murder in the case and is scheduled to be tried at a later date.

The baby’s mother, Sherry West, testified she was walking home from the post office with the 13-month old in a stroller on the morning of March 21. She said a gunman demanding her purse shot her baby in the face after she told him she had no money.
