Shooting Reported In Forrest Meadows Subdivision

Valdosta Police Car - Valdosta TodayPolice in Valdosta are looking for a 21-year old man whom they say fired shots inside a home in the Forrest Meadows subdivision after an argument between he and his girlfriend escalated.

Investigators say 21-year old Charles Powell kicked down a door inside the home where he and 21-year old Jasmyne Miller live. An argument between the two spilled outside the house, where neighbors say Powell fired multiple shots at the house as their 2-month old baby lay sleeping.

Powell allegedly took the woman’s cell phone and left the scene. Anyone with information on Powell’s location is asked to call police at 293-3145.
