Report: No GA Reps Support Syria Strike…Yet

| September 4, 2013

us-capitolAfter a long debate on Capitol Hill Tuesday, it appears only two Congressmen from Georgia- Senators Johnny Isakson and Saxby Chambliss- are supporting a military strike on Syria.

Democrats Hank Johnson, David Scott, John Barrow, and John Lewis have all said they will not support any military action. On the Republican side of the House, Jack Kingston, Rob Woodall, Tom Price, Lynn Westmoreland, and Tom Graves all echo their Democratic counterparts.

To date, Reps. Sanford Bishop, Austin Scott, Doug Collins, Phil Gingrey, Paul Broun and Austin Scott have yet to issue official statements on where they stand.
