Looks like Thomasville is off to a bad start this year. Lowndes beat them 41-0 last Friday night.

Well it looks like for next 4 to 5 months all we get to hear about is stupid high school football, there is more to life then this. How about we focus on the failing education system in the area. Also how about fixing up Valdosta High, That school looks dilapidated.

We can talk about the kids in our area that would likely not attend college, get scholarships to do just that from playing “stupid high school football”. Or we can talk about all the kids that would be out walking the streets and getting in trouble if they weren’t practicing that “stupid high school football”.

I cant stand people like you. You dont look all the way into the sports program. All you see is the sport and fail to see what it brings to the school and what it does for the kids. How much revenue is brought into the sports program? How many of these kids would quit school had it not been for football? For some of these kids its a way out of trouble and on to a more positive life. If you dont like football its simple…..Dont pay it no attention!! Go play golf or something!! As for me I’m gonna enjoy every minute of watching high school football this season. I’m sure you can find something to keep you busy because its gonna be a long season!!!

Are the school systems failing? I did not know that. Anyhow, I like to watch my son and his friends feel like larger than life ordinary kids while playing in front of thousands of people, giving them shouts of praise as they push themselves athletically.
