GSP, FHP Team Up For Labor Day Enforcement Campaign

GSP carOn Wednesday, August 28th, 2013 the Florida Highway Patrol will join forces with Georgia law enforcement agencies to promote the 22nd year of “Hands Across the Border.”O

Officers from both states will meet and pledge to work together this holiday weekend to crack down on unsafe driving. This includes speeding, drinking and driving and not wearing safety belts.

The event will begin at the I-75 Georgia Welcome Center at 10:00a.m. A caravan of law enforcement will then travel to the Florida I-75 Welcome Center at approximately 10:30am.

Approximately 2.6 million Georgians and Floridians are expected to take a trip of 50+ miles over the Labor Day holiday weekend.
