Propane Explosion At Lake Park Denny’s Injures Five

Valdosta Fire TruckFive people are recovering from non-life threatening injuries following a propane explosion at a Lake Park Denny’s. The incident happened around 1pm Friday at the restaurant adjacent to the Flying J Travel Plaza.

According to the Lowndes County Fire Department, around 85 percent of the restaurant’s interior was damaged. Around 100 people were in the travel plaza at the time of the blast.

Of the five people that reported injuries, three were transported to area hospitals. No criminal activity is suspected in the incident.
