US Marshals Run Over By Suspect Vehicle In Tifton

lights police barTifton, GA- A pair of US Marshals are recovering after being struck by a car while attempting to serve an arrest warrant Friday in Tifton. Marshals went to Tift Regional Medical Center after getting a tip that a wanted man, 29-year old Shorossky Horton, was in the area.

When they attempted to arrest the man, Horton’s girlfriend, 22-year old Matanya Miller, attempted to run over two officers. She struck them with her car, but not before marshals shot Miller in the shoulder.

Miller now faces two counts of aggravated assault on a police officer and Horton was arrested on one charge of armed robbery and aggravated assault.
