Three Arrested By LCSO In Countywide Burglary Ring

Lowndes County Police CarValdosta, GA- Three teenagers have been arrested in connection with what Sheriff Chris Prine and the Lowndes County Sheriff’s Office called a county-wide burglary ring.

Wednesday, an officer with the Valdosta Police Department observed the group who were taken into custody. During a follow up investigation, a residence in the 800 block of E. Brookwood Drive was searched and investigators and detectives were able to recover property from multiple burglaries that recently occurred in the county.

It was discovered that the group had recently rented a room at a local motel which was also searched and additional property was recovered. The vehicle that had been used the group was impounded as evidence was located in it as well.

As a result of this investigation, 19-year olds Demarcus Evans and Balewa Ferguson, as well as 17-year old Bruce Brown have been charged for receiving stolen property. The investigation is ongoing and investigators will be filing burglary charges on all members of the group in the near future.
