‘Smaller Than Normal’ Crowds At Morven Peach Festival

peach blossomDespite a warm, sunny weekend, it was a smaller-than-normal crowd for the 26th annual Morven Peach Festival. Around 3,500 people attended the Saturday event, down nearly 25 percent from crowds in past years.

Less than 90 percent of the vendor spaces were filled as well. The one-day festival marks the largest fundraiser of the calendar year for the town of around 550 people.
