Wiregrass “Geek Fest” Draws 500 Students

wiregrass logoWiregrass Technical College hosted hundreds of south Georgia high school students for its annual Geek Fest, providing hands-on experience with programs in the Computer Science and Business fields.

Students learned how video games were designed, how to operate robots and how meteorologists report the weather using a green screen.

The school hopes to enroll many of the students when they graduate high school.  Almost 500 students participated in the event, 200 more than last year.
